This national network is a FREE service to facilitate the exchange and transfer of used rehabilitation equipment. Individuals can use the website to buy, sell, or donate used rehab items of many types, including wheelchairs, pediatric equipment, mobility aids, ADL (Activities of Daily Living) aids, communication devices, assistive technology, and exercise equipment.
The website was developed in 2004 and is managed by a Physical Therapist. Hundreds of rehab items have been exchanged within the United States and a few other countries. This network is an invaluable resource for individuals who only need equipment on a short term basis, need items that insurance doesn’t cover, cannot or do not want to pay for pricey new items, or have used equipment to sell or donate.
Consumers’ privacy is respected and contact information (other than city, state) will not be posted on the webpage. Communication is through the webmaster (contact@rehabequipmentexchange.com).
To place an
ad to sell or donate equipment, complete the information on the Place an Ad page. Only those individuals expressing interest to buy listed equipment will be given your specific contact information.
To view available items, select Pediatric Equipment For Sale or Adult Equipment For Sale . Items are listed by categories – For Sale, Wanted, or Sold. Then items are further listed by type/function.
To Purchase Equipment, copy the number of the specific item you want and send an email to the webmaster (contact@rehabequipmentexchange.com) with your contact information. You will then receive contact information for the seller/donator, and you can directly contact them. Together, you can arrange the terms of sale/exchange and shipping.

A list of State Used Equipment sites or Rehab Equipment Exchanges is included and continually being updated.
As this Network grows, the GOAL is to link small, regional exchange/recycling programs in every state and to promote maximum functional use from rehabilitation items.
